PRS Principles, Values & Practice Domains: Preparation for the CPRP Exam

This workshop provides an overview of the core principles and values of psychiatric rehabilitation practice.  The principles are implemented through seven practice competency domains that define professionally delivered psychiatric rehabilitation services.  This course is intended to provide guidance and support for practitioners who seek a successful CPRP testing experience.

This workshop is offered at our annual conference and across the State throughout the year.   If you are interested in hosting a CPRP Prep workshop in your area, please contact Tricia Fisher at to discuss requirements and host benefits.

All trainings will be posted on this site in Upcoming Events.  Check back often!

Tips for preparing for the CPRP test:

·      Fully explore all the procedures and resources provided through the PRA/CPRP website in order to understand all the requirements to achieve this credential.

·      Purchase “Psychiatric Rehabilitation Skills in Practice: A CPRP Preparation and Skills Workbook”.  The PRA website describes it as "a comprehensive compendium of the seven practice domains of psychiatric rehabilitation. It provides experiential learning through group exercises to assist individuals studying for the CPRP exam or simply seeking a deeper understanding of the practice of psychiatric rehabilitation. This new resource looks to be about 500 pages and is available now.”   If you are attending the CPRP Test Prep workshop, you will be given the option to purchase this book.  It will be delivered to you on the day of the training.
